Narrow Bandpass Filters

Because digital cameras record their images differently than conventional film cameras, a narrow bandpass filter may be needed to properly photograph electrophoresis gels. If the photos that show the inside of the transilluminator including the light bulbs rather than the image of the gel a filter is required. Our sales people can advise you from our experience.

Narrow bandpass filters allow the light required to photograph gels to reach the camera, while at the same time blocking excess and unwanted ultraviolet and infrared light that digital cameras often record.

Available in 52mm, Peca Narrow Bandpass Filters can be adapted to a variety of different cameras with an adapter from Peca Products.

Special filters are available to meet specific customer needs in both wavelength configurations and filter size. Please contact our sales staff.
